TRX Weighted Inverted Row

The TRX inverted row with the heels on a bench and a plate resting on the hips; the added load makes the level row heavier than bodyweight alone.

How to do it

Setup

Heels on a bench, body level under the handles, arms straight, a plate held flat on the hips.

Steps

  1. Pull the chest to the handles, keeping the plate steady.
  2. Squeeze the shoulder blades together at the top.
  3. Lower to straight arms with the body still level.

Common mistakes

Plate sliding off the hips: settle it flat before the first rep. Hips sagging under the plate: brace harder or go lighter. Loading before clean bodyweight reps: earn them first.

Breathing

Exhale on the pull, inhale on the way down.
