Parallel Bars Bent-Knee Inverted Row
The bent-knee inverted row between low parallel bars, palms facing each other; the neutral grip is easier on the wrists than a straight bar.
How to do it
Setup
Lying between low parallel bars, a bar in each hand with the palms facing in, knees bent, feet flat, hips lifted.
Steps
- Pull the chest up between the bars, elbows close to the body.
- Squeeze the shoulder blades at the top.
- Lower to straight arms with the hips still up.
Common mistakes
Hips sinking to the floor: keep them in line with the thighs. Bars too high for a full reach: set up where the arms straighten at the bottom. Shoulders rolling forward at the top: open the chest and squeeze the blades.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull, inhale on the way down.
