Standing Archer

Arms out in front at shoulder height, one arm opens straight out to the side while the other bends back to the chest like drawing a bow; then the sides switch.

How to do it

Setup

Standing tall, feet hip-width, both arms straight out in front at shoulder height.

Steps

  1. Open one arm straight out to the side and draw the other hand back to the chest.
  2. Bring both arms back in front.
  3. Draw the bow to the other side and keep alternating; log the time.

Common mistakes

Arms sinking below shoulder height: keep the line level. Turning the hips with the arms: the hips face forward. Shrugging on the draw: shoulders down.

Breathing

Steady with the rhythm.
