Hanging L-Sit
The L-sit held from a bar: hanging on straight arms, the straight legs stay out level with the hips.
How to do it
Setup
Dead hang from the bar, hands shoulder-width, shoulders pulled down, legs together.
Steps
- Raise the straight legs until they are level with the hips.
- Hold them there with the toes pointed and the body still.
- Lower the legs slowly as soon as they start to sink below level.
Common mistakes
Knees bending as the hold burns: tuck them on purpose or come down. Swinging into the hold: start from a still hang. Legs sinking below level while you count: the hold ends there.
Breathing
Short steady breaths; never held.
