Decline Knee Raise

On a sloped bench with the head at the top, the legs stretch out long over the low end and the knees draw in to the chest.

How to do it

Setup

On a sloped bench, head at the high end, hands holding the bench behind the head, legs long past the low end.

Steps

  1. Draw the knees in toward the chest.
  2. Push the legs back out long, the heels hovering.
  3. Keep the lower back on the bench throughout.

Common mistakes

Lower back peeling off the bench as the legs go long: stop them higher. Letting the feet drop to rest: they hover all set. Kicking the knees in fast: draw in and push out at one steady pace.

Breathing

Exhale on the tuck, inhale extending.
