Arm Slingers Hanging Bent-Knee Legs

The hanging knee raise with the upper arms in ab slings rather than the hands on the bar; the grip no longer ends the set.

How to do it

Setup

Upper arms through the slings hung from a bar, elbows under the shoulders, body still.

Steps

  1. Draw the knees up toward the chest.
  2. Tilt the pelvis up as the knees pass hip height.
  3. Let the legs down slowly, no swing.

Common mistakes

Swinging the legs up: stop the sway before each rep. Shoulders sinking into the slings: press the elbows down to lift the chest. Knees stopping below hip height: raise them higher or slow down.

Breathing

Exhale on the raise, inhale lowering.
