Dumbbell Alternating Seated Bicep Curl on Stability Ball
The alternating dumbbell curl seated on a stability ball, both feet on the floor; the ball shifts with each arm, so the trunk keeps the seat steady.
How to do it
Setup
Seated tall on a stability ball, feet wide and flat, a dumbbell in each hand at the sides, palms forward.
Steps
- Curl one bell up while the other hangs at the side.
- Lower it fully before the other arm curls.
- Keep the hips still on top of the ball.
Common mistakes
Ball rolling toward the working side: plant the feet wide and brace. Leaning back to lift: sit tall over the ball. Starting the next arm before the first is down: one bell rests at the side while the other works.
Breathing
Exhale on each curl, inhale lowering.
