Dumbbell Alternating Bicep Curl with Leg Raised on Stability Ball
The alternating curl on a stability ball with one leg held straight out in front; balancing on a single foot makes the seat the hard part.
How to do it
Setup
Seated tall on a stability ball, one foot flat, the other leg straight out at hip height, dumbbells at the sides.
Steps
- Lift the leg and find the balance before the bells move.
- Curl one bell at a time to the shoulder.
- Lower each fully; switch the raised leg after the set.
Common mistakes
Raised leg sagging to the floor: hold it level or bend it slightly. Hips twisting with each curl: keep them square on the ball. Heavy bells that tip you over: this is a balance drill; go light.
Breathing
Exhale on each curl, inhale lowering.
