Dumbbell Alternate Biceps Curl (With Arm Blaster)
The alternating dumbbell curl against an arm blaster; the plate fixes both elbows, so the working arm cannot drift forward and the resting one cannot swing.
How to do it
Setup
Arm blaster on, backs of the upper arms against the plate, bells at the thighs, palms forward.
Steps
- Curl one bell to the shoulder, its elbow pressed into the plate.
- Bring it all the way down before the other arm starts.
- Alternate arms without letting the plate shift.
Common mistakes
Twisting the torso toward the working arm: the plate stays square to the front. Starting the next arm early: one bell fully down, then the other rises. A loose strap that lets the plate bounce: snug it before the set.
Breathing
Exhale on each curl, inhale lowering.
