Wide Plank Side Tap
From a high plank with the feet wide, pike the hips up and reach one hand under the body to tap the opposite foot, then plant it and switch.
How to do it
Setup
High plank, hands under the shoulders, feet set wide apart.
Steps
- Lift the hips and reach one hand back under the body toward the opposite foot.
- Tap the foot or the shin, then return the hand under the shoulder.
- Lower the hips to the plank and reach with the other hand.
Common mistakes
Supporting elbow bending: keep that arm straight under the shoulder. Feet drifting together: keep them wide for balance. Collapsing into the reach: touch only as far as the plank arm holds you.
Breathing
Exhale on each tap.
