TRX Headstand
From a forearm plank with the feet in the TRX cradles, the hips pike up over the shoulders into a supported headstand and lower back down.
How to do it
Setup
Forearm plank facing away from the anchor, feet in the cradles, hands clasped, the crown of the head on the floor between the forearms.
Steps
- Press the forearms into the floor and lift the hips up over the shoulders.
- Let the straps carry the straight legs up to vertical.
- Hold briefly with most of the weight in the forearms.
- Lower the hips back into the plank under control.
Common mistakes
Loading the head and neck: the forearms carry the weight; the head only touches. Trying it before a floor headstand: learn the supported headstand first. Kicking up fast: lift the hips slowly and stop if the neck complains.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
