Dumbbell Plank Pass Through

A high plank that passes a dumbbell under the chest from one side to the other, one hand at a time, while the hips refuse to turn.

How to do it

Setup

Plank on straight arms, feet apart for balance, a dumbbell lying beside one hand.

Steps

  1. Take the bell with the far hand, reaching under the body.
  2. Carry it across and set it beside the other hand.
  3. Bring that hand back down, then pass the bell back with the other.

Common mistakes

Chest dropping toward the supporting hand: push the floor away with it. Twisting the hips toward the reaching arm: keep them square to the floor. Rolling the bell: set it down with control so it stays where you put it.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
