Weighted Sandbag Row
The bent-over row with a sandbag held by its handles; the sand shifts inside the bag, so the grip and the trunk work to keep it level.
How to do it
Setup
Hinged to about 45°, back flat, knees soft, the sandbag hanging from its handles under the shoulders.
Steps
- Row the bag to the belly, elbows along the body.
- Keep the bag level as the sand shifts.
- Lower it to long arms with control.
Common mistakes
Standing up with each row: hold the hinge. Bag swinging into the knees: control it on the way down. Rounding the back to reach the handles: hips back, back flat.
Breathing
Exhale on the row, inhale lowering.
