Resistance Band Bent-Over Row

The bent-over row standing on a flat looped band, both ends rowed to the waist; the loop pulls hardest at the top.

How to do it

Setup

Standing on the loop, feet hip-width, hinged to about 45°, the loop's ends held overhand.

Steps

  1. Row the ends to the waist, elbows along the ribs.
  2. Squeeze the blades while the loop is stretched most.
  3. Let the hands down slowly, keeping the hinge.

Common mistakes

Loop sliding toward the toes: keep it under the middle of the feet. Standing up as the loop stretches: the hinge holds. Loop too light to feel: shorten it or stand wider.

Breathing

Exhale on the row, inhale lowering.
