Kettlebell Bent-Over Alternate Twist Row

Hinged over with a kettlebell in each hand, one bell rowed at a time as the chest turns open toward it; the other hangs long.

How to do it

Setup

Hinge to about 45°, back flat, knees soft, a kettlebell hanging in each hand.

Steps

  1. Row one bell to the hip and turn the chest toward it.
  2. Lower it while turning back square.
  3. Row the other side, keeping the hinge.

Common mistakes

Standing up as you turn: the hinge holds through every rep. Twisting from the lower back: the turn comes from the upper back and shoulders. Bells swinging: lower each one to a dead hang.

Breathing

Exhale on each row, inhale switching.
