Inverted Row Bent Knee under Table
The inverted row under a sturdy table with the knees bent and the feet flat; the bent knees put more of the weight on the feet, an easier start than straight legs.
How to do it
Setup
Lying under a sturdy table, hands on its edge shoulder-width, knees bent, feet flat, hips lifted in line with the torso.
Steps
- Pull the chest up to the table's edge, elbows driving back.
- Keep the hips lifted in one line from the knees to the shoulders.
- Lower until the arms are straight, hips still up.
Common mistakes
Using a light table that can tip: test it first, or use a bar at hip height. Bottom sinking between reps: lift the hips back into line before the next pull. Pulling the chin up to the edge: lead with the chest.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull, inhale on the way down.
