Uneven Pull-Up
The one-arm pull-up with the free hand gripping the working wrist; the bar arm does most of the work, a step toward the one-arm pull-up without help.
How to do it
Setup
One hand on the bar, the other gripping its wrist, arms straight, knees bent and ankles crossed.
Steps
- Pull with the bar arm, the hand on the wrist helping only as needed.
- Bring the chin up to the bar.
- Lower to straight arms; switch the hands on the next set.
Common mistakes
Hauling on the wrist: the helping hand steadies, the bar arm pulls. Body turning toward the working arm: keep the chest facing the bar. Doing every set on one side: switch the hands between sets.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull, inhale lowering.
