TRX Mountain Climber

Feet in the straps, hands on the floor in a plank: drive the knees to the chest in turn at a fast pace.

TRX Mountain Climber, illustrated

How to do it

Setup

Feet in the straps, hands under the shoulders, plank line set.

Steps

  1. Drive one knee toward the chest.
  2. Switch legs without letting the hips rise.
  3. Keep the rhythm and the shoulders stacked over the hands.

Common mistakes

Hips bouncing up with every switch: that is a pike, not a climber. Hands drifting forward: keep them under the shoulders. Going fast enough that the straps swing; the knees travel, not the feet.

Breathing

Steady rhythm with the legs; never held.
