Sprint Against Wall
Lean into a wall at a sprinter's start angle and drive the knees in turn, pushing each foot back into the floor; acceleration practiced on the spot.
How to do it
Setup
Hands on a wall at shoulder height, arms straight, body leaning in one line from head to heels, on the balls of the feet.
Steps
- Drive one knee up toward the wall.
- Push that foot back down under the hips as the other knee comes up.
- Keep the lean and the body line fixed; only the legs move.
Common mistakes
Hips sagging or piking: one line from head to heels. Feet landing out in front: they strike under the hips. Standing up out of the lean: the angle is the drill.
Breathing
Fast steady rhythm.
