Push-Up to Knee Tap
A push-up, then at the top a knee driven in under the chest to meet the opposite hand; alternate sides.
How to do it
Setup
High plank, body straight, hands set under the shoulders.
Steps
- Bend the elbows to lower the chest, then press away.
- Drive one knee under the chest and tap it with the opposite hand.
- Return to the plank and switch sides.
Common mistakes
Hips rising high for the tap: keep them just above the plank line. Standing hand drifting out: keep it under the shoulder. Chest stopping high in the push-up: lower until it nearly meets the floor.
Breathing
Inhale lowering, exhale on the press and the tap.
