Push-Up Pike Toe Touch

A push-up, then the hips pushed high into a pike so one hand can reach back and touch the opposite foot.

How to do it

Setup

High plank on the hands, feet hip-width apart.

Steps

  1. Complete a full push-up.
  2. Drive the hips up into a pike and reach one hand back to the opposite foot.
  3. Lower the hips back to the plank and switch hands.

Common mistakes

Bending the knees to reach the foot: keep the legs long; touch the shin if the toes are too far. Losing the plank on the way down: lower the hips with control. Standing hand collapsing: press the floor away.

Breathing

Inhale lowering, exhale into the pike.
