Burpee Over the Dumbbell
A burpee beside a dumbbell on the floor, then a two-footed jump sideways over it; the bell is only an obstacle, and the next burpee starts on the far side.
How to do it
Setup
Standing side-on to a dumbbell lying on the floor, feet shoulder-width.
Steps
- Squat, plant the hands and kick the feet back, chest down to the floor.
- Push up, jump the feet in and stand.
- Jump sideways over the dumbbell on both feet and land soft.
Common mistakes
Clearing the bell with a twist: jump square, both feet together. Landing close enough to clip it: take off a little away from the bell. Knees caving on the landing: track them over the toes.
Breathing
Exhale on the push-up and on the jump.
