Cross Body Push-Up
A push-up, then at the top one knee driven across under the body toward the opposite elbow; alternate sides every rep.
How to do it
Setup
High plank, hands a little wider than the shoulders, body in one line.
Steps
- Lower the chest to just above the floor and press back up.
- Drive one knee across under the body toward the opposite elbow.
- Return the foot and push up again, switching the knee.
Common mistakes
Hips sagging in the push-up: brace before you lower. Hips swinging high as the knee crosses: keep them low and level. Elbows flaring straight out: angle them back toward the ribs.
Breathing
Inhale lowering, exhale pressing up and on the knee drive.
