Downward Dog Push-Up Against Wall

Feet braced against the foot of a wall, glide from a bent-knee pike down into the bottom of a push-up and press back to the pike.

How to do it

Setup

Hands on the floor, the balls of the feet braced against the base of a wall, knees bent and hips high.

Steps

  1. Straighten the legs and lower the chest forward between the hands.
  2. Stop in a low straight line with the chest just above the floor.
  3. Press back through the hands into the bent-knee pike.

Common mistakes

Dropping the chest onto the floor: stop just above it. Hips sagging in the low line: brace the trunk. Feet slipping off the wall: press the balls of the feet into its base.

Breathing

Inhale lowering, exhale pressing.
