Plank Jump in Squat

From a high plank, jump the feet up outside the hands and rise into a deep squat; hands back down and jump back out.

How to do it

Setup

High plank on the hands, feet together, shoulders over the wrists.

Steps

  1. Jump the feet up to land wide, just outside the hands.
  2. Lift the chest and rise into a deep squat, hands at the chest.
  3. Put the hands back down and jump the feet back to the plank.

Common mistakes

Feet landing between the hands: land wide, outside them, so the hips can drop. Rounding the back in the squat: chest up before the hands leave the floor. Hips sagging as the feet land back: brace the plank before the jump back.

Breathing

Exhale on each jump; steady rhythm.
