Dumbbell Seated Preacher Curl
Both dumbbells curled together at the preacher bench; each arm lifts its own bell, so the weaker side cannot hide behind a bar.
How to do it
Setup
Seated at the preacher bench, both upper arms flat on the pad, a dumbbell in each hand, palms up.
Steps
- Curl both bells up together toward the shoulders.
- Stop with the forearms vertical, elbows still on the pad.
- Lower both slowly down the pad.
Common mistakes
Bells drifting apart at the top: bring them up side by side. One arm finishing first: slow down to the weaker arm. Dropping into the bottom: the last inch is the risky part; control it.
Breathing
Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
