Dumbbell Seated One-Arm Front Raise

One bell at a time from a bench with a back rest; the free hand on the thigh, the pad holding the torso square.

How to do it

Setup

Back on an upright pad, one bell at the side, the free hand on the thigh.

Steps

  1. Raise the bell forward to shoulder height, arm straight.
  2. Keep both shoulders against the pad.
  3. Lower slowly; switch arms after the set.

Common mistakes

Twisting toward the working arm: both shoulders stay on the pad. Swinging the bell off the thigh: dead stop at the bottom. Hand above the shoulder: shoulder height is the top.

Breathing

Exhale on the raise, inhale lowering.
