Dumbbell Single-Arm Underhand Front Raise

The one-arm front raise with the palm turned up; the underhand grip rolls the arm out and lifts to about eye level.

How to do it

Setup

Stand tall, one bell in front of the thigh, palm facing forward, free arm down.

Steps

  1. Raise the straight arm forward, palm up, to about eye level.
  2. Keep the elbow soft and the wrist flat.
  3. Lower slowly; switch arms after the set.

Common mistakes

Curling the bell toward the shoulder: the elbow stays almost straight. Wrist bending back: keep it flat, a lighter bell. Leaning back to reach eye level: stop where the torso stays still.

Breathing

Exhale on the raise, inhale lowering.
