Dumbbell Seated One-Arm Bicep Curl on Stability Ball with Leg Raised

A one-arm curl seated on a stability ball with the opposite leg held out straight; the lone bell pulls the balance to one side.

How to do it

Setup

Seated on a stability ball, one dumbbell at the side, the leg on the other side straight out at hip height.

Steps

  1. Find the balance with the leg raised.
  2. Curl the bell to the shoulder and lower it slowly.
  3. Finish the set, then switch the arm and the raised leg.

Common mistakes

Leaning away from the bell to balance it: sit upright and brace. Raised leg drifting down: keep it level. Rushing the reps: slow curls keep the ball still.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
