Dumbbell Seated Biceps Curl (On Stability Ball)

Both dumbbells curled while sitting on a stability ball; the unstable seat makes the trunk hold the posture through the whole set.

How to do it

Setup

Seated tall on a stability ball, feet flat and hip-width, bells at the sides, palms forward.

Steps

  1. Curl both bells to the shoulders without rocking on the ball.
  2. Keep the feet planted and the back upright.
  3. Lower slowly to straight arms.

Common mistakes

Feet close together on a wobbly ball: set them hip-width or wider for a stable base. Rolling back on the ball to help the lift: the hips stay still. Slumping as the set goes on: sit tall on top of the ball.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
