Dumbbell Seated Inner Biceps Curl

Seated against an upright backrest, curl both bells out to the sides in a wide arc, palms turned out; the arms move away from the body, not along it.

How to do it

Setup

Seated with the back against an upright bench, bells hanging at the sides, palms forward and turned out.

Steps

  1. Curl the bells up and out toward the shoulders.
  2. Keep the elbows a little away from the ribs.
  3. Lower along the same arc.

Common mistakes

Arc closing in toward the chest: the bells finish out beside the shoulders. Back peeling off the pad: stay against it. Elbows riding up and forward: they stay low and still.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
