Dumbbell Overhead Carry
Walk with a dumbbell locked out overhead in each hand; each arm balances its own bell, so a weaker shoulder cannot hide.
How to do it
Setup
Both bells pressed overhead, arms vertical, palms facing in, ribs stacked over the hips.
Steps
- Walk at a steady pace, both arms locked.
- Keep the bells directly over the shoulders.
- Lower them to the shoulders, then to the sides, to finish.
Common mistakes
One arm drifting forward as it tires: stop and reset, or go lighter. Shrugging the shoulders up to the ears: reach tall without hiking them. Leaning back to balance: stand stacked, ribs down.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
