Dumbbell Incline Front Raise

Back on an incline bench, raise the bells from a hang at the hips to straight up, starting from a stretch.

How to do it

Setup

Back on a bench set near 45°, bells hanging straight down at the sides.

Steps

  1. Raise the straight arms until they point at the ceiling.
  2. Keep the head and back on the pad.
  3. Lower slowly back to the hang without a bounce.

Common mistakes

Bouncing out of the bottom stretch: pause in the hang. Heavy bells: the long lever from behind the body needs light ones. Head lifting off the pad: keep it down.

Breathing

Exhale on the raise, inhale lowering.
