Cable Kneeling High-Low Anti-Rotation Chop
Half-kneeling side-on to a high pulley, pull the handle diagonally down across the body to the far hip while the torso refuses to turn.
How to do it
Setup
Half-kneeling side-on to a high pulley, both knees bent to 90°, the handle in both hands above the near shoulder, arms long.
Steps
- Pull the handle down and across to the outside of the far hip.
- Keep the hips and chest square to the front throughout.
- Let the handle rise back along the same line under control.
Common mistakes
Twisting toward the stack as the cable pulls back: the torso stays square; that is the exercise. Bending the elbows to muscle it down: long arms, the trunk holds. Hips shifting sideways off the knee: squeeze the glute on the kneeling side.
Breathing
Exhale on the chop, inhale returning.
