Band Seated Row
The seated row on the floor with a band anchored low on a rack; the band pulls harder the closer the bar comes.
How to do it
Setup
Seated on the floor facing the rack, legs long, knees soft, the band's bar in both hands, arms long.
Steps
- Row the bar to the waist, elbows brushing the ribs.
- Squeeze the blades where the band pulls hardest.
- Let the arms out slowly without leaning after them.
Common mistakes
Leaning back to finish the pull: the torso stays upright; a lighter band. Letting the band yank the arms out: control the way back. Sitting too close to the rack: slide back until the band is taut at long arms.
Breathing
Exhale on the row, inhale returning.
