Band Straight-Back Standing Row

Standing tall with a band anchored ahead at chest height, both handles rowed to the waist while the back stays straight and still.

How to do it

Setup

Standing a step back from the anchor, feet hip-width, knees soft, a handle in each hand.

Steps

  1. Row the handles to the waist without leaning back.
  2. Squeeze the blades and hold the chest up.
  3. Let the band pull the arms forward slowly.

Common mistakes

Leaning back to stretch the band: step farther from the anchor instead. Knees locked and hips pushed forward: soft knees, hips under the ribs. Shoulders rolling forward on the return: keep the chest up.

Breathing

Exhale on the row, inhale returning.
