Band Seated Underhand-Grip Row
The band row seated on the floor with the bar held underhand; the palms-up grip draws the elbows in and loads the biceps more.
How to do it
Setup
Seated on the floor facing the rack, legs long, the band's bar held palms up, arms long.
Steps
- Row the bar to the lower belly, elbows tight to the body.
- Squeeze the blades without curling the wrists.
- Straighten the arms slowly against the band.
Common mistakes
Curling the bar up with the biceps: the elbows drive back, the hands only hold. Leaning back at the finish: the torso stays upright. Wrists bent back: a straight line from forearm to knuckles.
Breathing
Exhale on the row, inhale returning.
