Bar Band Bent-Over Row
The bent-over row with a light bar whose ends are tied to bands under the feet; the bands pull hardest as the bar reaches the body.
How to do it
Setup
Standing on the bands, hinged to about 45°, back flat, the bar held overhand at shoulder width.
Steps
- Row the bar to the lower ribs.
- Hold the top where the bands pull hardest.
- Lower slowly, resisting the bands.
Common mistakes
Letting the bands snap the bar down: control the way back. Rising out of the hinge as the bands stretch: the angle holds. Feet too close together to hold the bands: stand on them hip-width.
Breathing
Exhale on the row, inhale lowering.
