Wrist Flexor Stretch

Palms pressed together in front of the chest, lower the hands toward the waist with the elbows out; the insides of the forearms stretch.

How to do it

Setup

Standing tall, palms pressed together in front of the chest, fingers up, elbows out.

Steps

  1. Lower the joined hands slowly toward the waist.
  2. Keep the heels of the palms pressed together.
  3. Hold where the forearms stretch, then raise the hands to ease off.

Common mistakes

Palms peeling apart at the bottom: stop where they still press flat. Shoulders hunching up: keep them low and relaxed. Sharp pain in the wrist joint: raise the hands until only the forearms pull.

Breathing

Slow and even through the hold.
