Wrist Ulnar Deviator and Flexor Stretch

The kneeling wrist flexor stretch with the fingertips turned in toward each other, which adds the little-finger side of the forearm; held for time.

How to do it

Setup

Kneeling, palms flat on the floor in front of the knees, fingertips turned in toward each other, elbows straight.

Steps

  1. Turn the hands until the fingertips point at each other.
  2. Sit back slowly until the pull reaches the little-finger side of the forearm.
  3. Hold and breathe, then lean forward over the hands to come out.

Common mistakes

Elbows bending as you sit back: keep them straight, the stretch lives there. Hands creeping closer together: keep them shoulder-width apart. Forcing the heels of the hands down through pain: ease back until it is only a stretch.

Breathing

Slow and even through the hold.
