Wrist Extensor Stretch

The backs of the hands pressed together in front of the chest, fingers down; raising the elbows stretches the backs of the forearms.

How to do it

Setup

Standing tall, the backs of the hands pressed together in front of the chest, fingers pointing down.

Steps

  1. Raise the elbows out to the sides toward shoulder height.
  2. Keep the backs of the hands pressed together.
  3. Hold where the forearms stretch, then lower the elbows.

Common mistakes

Hands sliding apart as the elbows rise: lift only as far as they stay together. Shoulders shrugging with the elbows: keep them low. Elbows forced high into a sore wrist: lower them to a mild pull.

Breathing

Slow and even through the hold.
