Seated Wrist Extensors Stretch

Seated with one arm straight in front, the other hand bends the wrist down until the back of the forearm stretches; held for time.

How to do it

Setup

Seated tall, one arm straight in front at shoulder height, palm facing down.

Steps

  1. Let the hand drop toward the floor at the wrist.
  2. Press gently on the back of the hand, above the knuckles, to deepen it.
  3. Hold and breathe, then switch arms.

Common mistakes

Pulling on the fingers: press the back of the hand above the knuckles. Elbow bending: keep the arm straight so the stretch reaches the forearm. Shoulder lifting: let it drop.

Breathing

Slow and even through the hold.
