Side Wrist Pull Stretch

The arm straight ahead with the hand in a fist, the other hand draws the fist down and to the side; the back of the forearm lengthens.

How to do it

Setup

Standing, one arm straight ahead at shoulder height, palm down, the hand in a loose fist.

Steps

  1. Wrap the other hand over the fist.
  2. Draw the fist down and to the side until the top of the forearm stretches.
  3. Hold and breathe, then switch arms.

Common mistakes

Bending the elbow as you pull: keep the arm straight or the stretch fades. Squeezing the fist hard: keep it loose and let the other hand work. Yanking the wrist: draw it slowly and stop at the first clear stretch.

Breathing

Slow and even through the hold.
