Wheel Run
A running drill with an exaggerated stride: the knee drives high in front and the back leg extends fully, the legs cycling like a wheel.
How to do it
Setup
Clear space, standing tall, arms bent as for a sprint.
Steps
- Drive one knee up to hip height as the other leg pushes back to straight.
- Sweep the front foot down and back under the hips as the rear knee comes through.
- Pump the arms in opposition and keep the chest tall.
Common mistakes
Leaning back to lift the knee: stay tall or slightly forward. Landing the foot far out in front: it comes down under the hips. Rushing the cycle: big clean circles first, speed later.
Breathing
Fast steady rhythm.
