Tuck Planche on Parallette
The tuck planche on parallettes: the knees drawn to the chest and the hips raised level with the shoulders, balanced on straight arms.
How to do it
Setup
Kneeling between two parallettes, hands gripping them beside the hips, arms straight.
Steps
- Lean the shoulders forward over the bars until the knees lift.
- Draw the knees to the chest and lift the hips level with the shoulders.
- Hold with straight arms, then lower the knees to the floor.
Common mistakes
Bending the arms: keep them locked; lean less if they give. Hips hanging below the shoulders: round the upper back and lift them. Resting the knees on the arms: that is the frog stand; keep them tucked and free.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
