Full Planche

The top of the planche progression: the whole body straight and level above the floor, legs together, balanced on locked arms.

How to do it

Setup

Hands shoulder-width on the floor, fingers pointing out, elbows locked, the shoulders well in front of the hands.

Steps

  1. Lean forward and lift the legs together until the body is level.
  2. Hold the straight line from the shoulders to the feet.
  3. Lower the feet under control to finish.

Common mistakes

Piking at the hips: squeeze the glutes and point the feet back. Elbows softening: the arms stay locked; go back to the straddle if they bend. Head craning up: keep the neck long, eyes on the floor ahead.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
