How to do it

Setup

Hold one handle and lean back on a straight arm, feet walked forward; the free arm reaches out for balance.

Steps

  1. Pull the chest to the working hand, elbow along the ribs.
  2. Keep the shoulders and hips square to the anchor.
  3. Lower back to a straight arm with control.

Common mistakes

Rotating the torso into the pull: the free arm is a counterweight, not an engine. Hips sagging out of the line: brace the abs and squeeze the glutes. Doing more reps on the strong side; match the count.

Breathing

Exhale on the pull, inhale on the way down.
