Iso-Lateral High Row

Pulling down and back from above shoulder height, one lever per arm.

Iso-Lateral High Row, illustrated

How to do it

Setup

Seated under the high levers, chest on the pad, hands above shoulder height.

Steps

  1. Pull down and back toward the ribs.
  2. Elbows finish behind the body.
  3. Return up with control to the stretch.

Common mistakes

Leaning back to turn it into a row: the DOWN-and-back arc is the point. One arm lagging: slow to the weak side's speed. Cutting the top stretch: long arms restart each rep.

Breathing

Exhale pulling down, inhale returning.
