Stationary Bike Walk
An easy ride on an upright exercise bike standing out of the saddle, each pedal pushed down like a slow step; low-impact cardio for warm-ups and recovery days.
How to do it
Setup
Standing on the pedals out of the saddle, hands on the bars, torso tipped slightly forward.
Steps
- Push each pedal down in turn at an easy, even cadence.
- Keep the knees tracking over the feet.
- Stay tall over the pedals; log the time.
Common mistakes
Resistance too light: the pedals run away under you; add enough to stand on. Hanging on the bars: the legs carry you, the hands only steady. Hips swaying side to side: keep the pelvis level over the saddle.
Breathing
Easy and steady.
