Standing Two Side Bend (Bent Arm)
One arm arched overhead, bend away from it in two small dips and come back up; the whole long side stretches.
How to do it
Setup
Standing, feet hip-width, one arm arched over the head, the other hand on the side of the thigh.
Steps
- Bend sideways away from the raised arm, sliding the low hand down the thigh.
- Ease up a little and dip once more at the bottom.
- Come back up to tall; finish the side, then switch arms.
Common mistakes
Leaning forward: the chest faces ahead and the bend stays sideways. Bouncing hard: the two dips are small and controlled. Hips sliding out: they stay over the feet; only the waist bends.
Breathing
Exhale bending, inhale rising.
